Akram Jawdhari is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, South Dakota State University. Over the past 13 years, he has developed extensive expertise in bridge engineering, concrete structures, infrastructure rehabilitation and preservation, and computational modelling. His work spans the development and evaluation of advanced rehabilitation solutions using smart and high-performance materials, including fiber-reinforced polymer composites, fiber-reinforced cementitious mortar (FRCM), and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). He has led and participated in numerous large-scale experimental investigations on a wide range of structural components and systems and developed a strong background in computational mechanics and finite element analysis.
