Debasish Jana is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. His research focuses on AI-driven risk assessment and resilience planning for road infrastructure networks exposed to wildfires, earthquakes, rainfall, and landslides. He develops graph-based learning models to identify critical road segments, integrates LiDAR and satellite imagery to assess hazard impacts, and uses generative modeling to simulate synthetic hazard scenarios. His work combines structural engineering, computer vision, and remote sensing to support data-informed decision-making for resilient transportation systems and long-term infrastructure investment planning.
