Sharijad Hasan is an Associate Research Fellow at the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute, where he works on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), systems engineering, and transportation technology deployment. He collaborates with the North Dakota Department of Transportation and regional partner agencies to develop ITS strategies, evaluate projects, and advance regional integration. Sharijad earned his Ph.D. in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering from North Dakota State University. His research focuses on expanding ITS applications in underserved communities, aligning technology investments with transportation safety, and advancing risk-based safety training.
