About Partner

The University of Wyoming (UW) is the only four-year University in the state of Wyoming. Historically, the Transportation program at UW has been receiving significant funding/support from the state of Wyoming, local governments, as well as federal agencies. Researchers at UW are very active in doing research in the pavement management/performance area. In addition, there are lots of research studies being conducted on other infrastructures such as interchanges, bridges, and intersections to make them safer and more efficient. The construction management faculty members at UW are actively involved in research to enhance the effectiveness of project delivery. UW is also the home for the Wyoming LTAP which provides significant workforce development opportunities for transportation professionals in the state. Over 45 various certification and workshops are being presented annually by the center in the asphalt, aggregate, concrete, and volumetric design areas. These workshops/certification programs are presented in collaboration with the Wyoming DOT, local and federal agencies.

University Labs / Resources

  • Pavement Laboratory — This lab was established in 1990. It contains various equipment for conducting pavement related research. In addition, it can be used in training and workforce development.
  • Traffic Simulation Laboratory — This lab we established to perform human factors related studies. It contained two simulators. One of them is for passenger cars and the second one is for trucks.
