Shahbaz Khan is a transportation researcher specializing in pavement engineering, infrastructure evaluation, and emerging inspection technologies. He is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Wyoming, contributing to WYDOT projects involving intelligent transportation systems, drone-based inspections, and data-driven asset management. He previously worked with the University of Florida and the Florida Department of Transportation on pavement performance modeling and materials testing. His earlier experience at CSIR-CRRI includes accelerated pavement testing, field investigations, and R&D on innovative materials. Shahbaz combines his pavement expertise with modern sensing, UAV imagery, and AI tools to advance infrastructure monitoring.
