Raghupathi Kandiboina is a transportation safety researcher with expertise in intelligent infrastructure, connected vehicle data, and AI-driven inspection systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Intelligent Infrastructure Engineering from Iowa State University, focusing on real-time crash detection, stop-sign compliance modeling, and large-scale traffic data analysis. He has contributed to multiple DOT-funded projects involving winter roadway safety, sensor evaluation, and drone-based inspection of transportation assets. Raghupathi has presented at national venues, including the TRB Annual Meeting, and applies advanced analytics and machine learning to enhance roadway safety and support data-informed decision-making for state agencies.
